How to Add a User Profile in Outlook 2003

Outlook and Exchange are very flexible. There are many different ways to connect. To get the most benefit from Exchange server you need to create an Exchange server type profile, not an Internet mail, IMAP or POP/SMTP profile.

Even within the category of Exchange server profiles, there are still three different ways to connect.  We provide instructions for all three.

 RPC-over-HTTP Instructions (recommended method)

VPN Instructions

Traditional Instructions

The traditional profile requires a wide open Internet connection with no firewall. Most Internet providers have some sort of firewall in place, making It very likely you will need to use either the RPC-over-HTTP or VPN method to connect. RPC-over-HTTP is preferable to VPN. We continue to support VPN for those customers who have older systems or prefer not to update their configuration.
